When it first came out, the Excel 2007 Ribbon caused a wave of resentment. Rational Excel users said, it’s arrived, it’s here to stay, get used to it.
In 2009 I prepared a video showing everyone what the ribbon is and how to use it. It’s less than 12 minutes long but here it is: it goes with part of chapter one of my new book, The Excel Project: Excel for Accountants, Business People … from the Beginning.
